How to pin an Instagram chat

To make it quick and easy to find you can pin a chat, a group chat, or a private chat at the top of the chats in the Instagram app.

Pin an Instagram chat

Here If you want to pin a chat in the Instagram App then follow my Instructions:

1. Click on the messages on the top right-hand corner of the Instagram app.
   
2. Press and hold the chat which you want to pin on the top of your chats.
   
3. Then Tap on the pin.
   
4. Then the chat will now move to the top in your chat list or inbox and show a little pin emoji next to it that mean’s it is pinned.
   

Unpin an Instagram chat

If you pinned a chat but then your mind is changed and you want to unpin it from the top of your chats, Then I will tell you how you can unpin an Instagram chat.

Follow my instructions for unpinning a chat:

1. Go to the Instagram App.
2. In the top right-hand corner see Messages and Then Tap on it.
   
3. Then press and hold the pinned chat to which you want to unpin.
   and unpin it
   
4. The chat after unpinning returns to its chronological order in your chat box.
   

What should I know about the Instagram Pinned chats?

It can be very useful to pin the chat at the top of the inbox in the Instagram app if you have many chats to juggle. It means that you don’t need to find out the important chats that are lost in the unimportant chats.

• The only three chats can be pinned by you at the top of your inbox. It is impossible to pin the Four chats because Instagram still features only pin three chats.
• Pinned chats will appear in order of pinning. It means that which chat pinned by you recently will show on the top of your inbox.
• The personal accounts can be pinned only. If you are doing or running a business on Instagram then you cannot pin the chats because the pin chats feature is only for personal accounts.
• The  Notifications will remain the same as it is. If you have the setup of push notifications then you will receive the same notifications also for the pinned messages as you would with any other message.  They are not prioritized.
